Went to the local second-hand thrift store and bought a $1.00 pair of mens work boots.

In very good shape, I might add.

Tore out the inner boot parts, drilled holes through the bottoms (for drainage)

Painted with primer and base painted with blue, brown and green.

Decided I probably wanted to put them in or near my veggie plot so I painted veggies on them.

I started the veggies with gesso then used acrylic paints.

I restrung the shoe laces and planted with succulents .

I like them so much that I'm going to look for another "thrift" pair of boots to paint for my butterfly gardens.
