WELCOME TO THE FARM

Friday

End of May

End of August

Before I know it, it will be time to turn all these beautiful flowers into compost.
Ai !  seems like I just got them all planted.

Saturday

Oh what a beautiful morning.

Oh what a beautiful day.

Sunday

Flowers from the gardens.  I never tire of seeing these bloomers.  I look forward to their annual arrival and am sad when they fade, but the August bloomers are always welcome and just as beautiful.

If your planning a visit to the farm, be sure to CALL 402-440-6284 and let us know you'd like to come out.  We are in the gardens each day but don't promise 9-5 hours.  We'd love for you
to see the beautiful flowers and many butterflies so just call and we will be sure to welcome you.
THANKS.

Just a photo reminder of some of the sights you may see on your next visit to The Garden Junkie

Monday

"January thaw" , in Nebraska, can get all the way up to 80 degrees.
2015 hasn't climbed that high, but into the 60s and those temps really bring on the  Spring Fever.

Of course, the ground is frozen and all the bulbs, tubers and seeds are quiet. Nothing stirring.
All patiently waiting.  I, on the other hand, am not so patient but have no choice.

2014 winter was a very cold drought resulting in a modest spring, as far as blooms were concerned.
2015 had more moisture in November and early December, but has been very (below zero) cold and
no snow, no moisture.   We will see how the bulbs and tubers do.

Gardening is always an Adventure.

Saturday

I know it seems 6 months away.  BUT save the date

First Saturday in JUNE

JUNE 6th

The Garden Junkie will be hosting

The JUNKIE FLEA

8:30am -

Some flea-stuff I've been pulling out of storage.
Many, many tubs to go.

All to be garage-sale priced and ready for The Junkie Flea.

Many vintage items

Lots and lots of Holiday stuff

Great "findings"

The Junkie Flea is the same day as the annual Murdock and Elmwood city wide garage sales, so plan to find some great treasures.
