WELCOME TO THE FARM

Friday

Dandelions : A plant brought to America by the colonists for food.  The greens were eaten as salad
and cooked (like spinach).   The original plants had much bigger leaves.

Due to the American habit of poisoning weeds, the dandelion has slightly mutated (and adapted) and is really no longer suitable for eating.  Too bad, as it's very prolific and abundant and was a great source of
multiple vitamins.

Poison in our own yards is not the way to deal with unwanted plants.
