The gardens in Asheville, NC were great - So was the art.


We only had time for a short visit to a couple of galleries,  but the ones I went into were great. 


This is an encaustic painting. (Wax)  Beautiful. Would have loved to bring this one home.





A wonderful metal table with leaf cut-outs.  A perfect table for the garden.




This beautiful piece - a full standing statue was in the state arboretum.

    Thanks so much for sharing these photos! My traveling companions told me about the praying mantis sculpture and the dragonfly, both of which I missed, knowing how much I like mantises. So nice to meet you and your mother in Asheville; I hope your trip home was uneventful--no dirt mountain roads:)

      Thanks .... I loved all the art pieces. Trip home was all interstate, no exciting side trips. Too bad, because those are the ones we remember.
